How to spray your iCandy Peach from chrome to black

How To Spray Your iCandy Peach Frame

So I've had my peach for 4years now !! Yes 4 YEARS !!!!!!!

I can't magic up another 1k to buy a new one so I decided to 'pimp my pram'.

It started off as a iCandy Peach Black Jack - First Edition. It got grubby and faded from my first child so I bought a new seat unit off eBay.

This was a iCandy Peach Jogger Cranberry seat unit. No hood though !? So I went and purchased the black magic peach 2 hood and liner.

All iCandy Peach Seats are swappable woop so I now had a brand new seat with a scratched up chasis but it was new right?

But , I couldn't stand the fact that the frame from the seat was Matt silver and the chasis was mirror chrome so I though I know il spray it !! And here is how I did it......

1. Sand down all the frame , yes you will feel like you've made a terrible terrible mistake when you see the state of it after !!

2. Clean off dust with a wet cloth.... And mud and food and crap.

3. Tape , mask and cover any bits you DO NOT want paint on ! This takes a very long time to do !! Be precise as tape doesn't stick well to the iCandy , I used bin liners to cover fabric.

4. Spray Spray Spray!! Coat your frame in around 4 layers make sure you wait between layers to dry.

5. Chuck the chasis seat unit and hood in a shed or unused area/room for three days to cure.

6. Coat in clear spray paint I used the whole can.

7. Spray wheels ? Now I was going to spray my wheels red however this looked very time consuming and fiddly so I left it but feel free to crack on !!

8. Assemble tear off all tape and covers. Admire your handy work.

9. Get new iCandy Decals from eBay !!

10. Woop new pram !!!!!! Your pram has been officially pimped 😉
